We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Students access our service only through accounts created by authorized adults.

Student Information We Collect

We collect and store the following information about students:

Student names (as provided by the adult user - may be full names, first names only, or pseudonyms)

Student usernames (assigned by the adult user)

Reading level and skill progress data (assigned by the adult user)

Students may access the platform using credentials created by an adult user. We do not track user activity in the student portal or store any data input in the student portal.

Adult User Responsibilities

Adult users (educators, parents, etc.) using our service are responsible for:

Obtaining any necessary parental consent before entering student information into our system

Supervising student use of the platform as appropriate

Ensuring compliance with applicable laws including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)

All student information is provided by adult users who are responsible for compliance with applicable children's privacy laws. If you believe a child has directly provided us with personal data without proper authorization, please contact us immediately at support@decodablereads.com and we will delete it promptly.

Updates to the Privacy Policy

Any updates to this Privacy Policy will be communicated to users via email.

Deleting Data

If, for any reason, you want all data associated with your account deleted, please email us at support@decodablereads.com. We will delete all data associated with you and your account within 72 hours.
