Literacy Leap SMS Terms

Program description

Literacy Leap (operated by Decodable Reads) sends reminder text messages to parents and caregivers who request them inside the Literacy Leap web app at decodablereads.com/literacy-leap. The messages remind you to complete or continue your child's reading assessment and lessons at a date and time you choose.

How you opt in

After logging in to Literacy Leap, you can choose to receive a reminder by text message. To opt in, you enter your mobile phone number and actively check a consent box (it is not pre-selected) that reads:

“I agree to receive reminder text messages from Literacy Leap. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”

You then choose the date, time, and time zone for your reminder and submit the request. Providing your phone number and checking this box is required only to receive reminder texts; it is not a condition of any purchase.

What the opt-in looks like

This is the opt-in form exactly as it appears to users inside the Literacy Leap app when they choose to be reminded by text message:

The consent checkbox is never pre-checked; the user must actively select it before the reminder can be scheduled.

What messages you'll receive

You may receive:

• A one-time confirmation text when you schedule a reminder (for example: “Literacy Leap: You're set! We'll send a reminder to finish your child's assessment. Reply STOP to opt out.”).
• The reminder text at the time you selected (for example: “Literacy Leap: Ready to finish your child's assessment? It takes about 15 min. Log in: decodablereads.com/literacy-leap Reply STOP to opt out.”).

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on how many reminders you request. Reminders are sent only at the times you schedule.

Cost

Literacy Leap does not charge you for reminder text messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to opt out or get help

You can cancel reminder text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, you will no longer receive reminder texts unless you opt in again.

Privacy
